Featured Beer: Rettung Eins Kölsch or Rescue One Kölsch

Watch City Brewing’s German-style Golden Ale. This light offering is brewed with premium German Malt, noble hops and yeast. The fermentation is done on the colder side of ale fermentation temperatures (61–65 F) and lagered for weeks in cold conditioning to produce a clean, crisp, delicately balanced beer usually with very subtle fruit flavors and aromas. Subdued maltiness throughout leads to a pleasantly refreshing tang in the finish. Smooth and crisp in the taste. This beer was also brewed in conjunction with the Worcester Fire Department and will be donating proceeds from the sales of every keg sold to the Jon Davies Children Memorial Fund in honor of fallen Worcester Firefighter, Jon Davies who perished in the line of duty in December 2010.

Limited edition of 120 22 oz. bottles available only at Watch City Brewing after Feb. 10th. Third and fourth batches brewing soon! Read review from Boston.com.

Featured Beer: White Lightnin’ Vanilla Bourbon Porter by Tom & Karen Condor

WCBC Mug Club Patron Guest Brewer Series No. 2 This is a new beer for our “Mug Club Patron Appreciation Series”. It‘s part of celebrating 15 years of business and brewing here at Watch City. This robust porter from Tom & Karen comes full bodied with complimenting hints of chocolate that were later enhanced with Tonga vanilla beans. To round out it’s deep color and slight aroma of caramel and fresh tobacco, the aged french oak staves complete this beers flavor from steeping in Jim Beam black bourbon oak chips... A fireside companion for any winter day!

Featured Beer: BeeJezus Belgian Gruit

Long before “hops” were the norm for “spicing” beers, brewers used a wide variety of botanicals for enhancing the flavor of their stew pot concoctions. The botanicals or herbs we used in this beer cannot be more “local” due to the fact that we grow 2 out of 3 of them! We grow and spice this Belgian Pale Ale with our own Bee Balm, Lemon Balm and locally source Jasmine Green Tea. The beer has absolutely no hops and the herbs compliment the spicy Belgian yeast on their own. The result is a refreshingly subdued citrus and pepper flavor that melds nicely with this style of beer.
